Den Chu grew up surrounded by the kitchens of his parents’ Vietnamese restaurants and developed a passion for cooking at a young age. His journey through the world of sushi and Asian cuisine took him to renowned chefs, including a Michelin-starred chef, where he mastered the fine art of the craft. He now channels his love for Asian cuisine into every meal at Mr. Sato, creating dishes that are not only delicious but also a feast for the eyes.

Mr. Sato is the second restaurant in the Van der Valk Palace Hotel Noordwijk. In addition to restaurant Vloed, which is known for its refined European cuisine, Mr. Sato offers a completely different culinary experience. Previously located in Vloed Loungebar, Mr. Sato has moved as of September 1, 2025, to Semmy's Restobar in the Van der Valk Palace Hotel Noordwijk. The bar has been transformed into an intimate and atmospheric Asian restaurant.
